Abstract: Key findings • This site had a medium background level of both Pratylenchus thornei and crown rot. • All bread wheat varieties (except Strzelecki[PBR]) were between 0.41 t/ha to 0.81 t/ha higher yielding than EGA_ Gregory[PBR] under high levels of crown rot infection. • Fungicide application increased yield by 0.37 t/ha (on crop) to 0.51 t/ha (droppers). Fungicide application 50 cm above crop height provided no yield benefit. Slashing at GS30 reduced yield by 0.23 t/ha compared to the nil control.
