Abstract: Key findings • A range of new barley varieties have been released in recent years, many of these are still undergoing malt accreditation. • The NVT program has allowed comparison of the performance of these varieties in the northern grains region. • Compass[PBR], LaTrobe[PBR] (IGB1101), Skipper[PBR] and Navigator[PBR] appear to be worthy of consideration for future production in the region.
