Abstract: Geological mapping and sampling carried out within portion MLl which encloses the Ruby Creek lead - zinc - silver mine has shown that the mineralisation occurs in narrow, and apparently short, almost parallel shears within fine to medium grained porphyry. The Main Shaft has been sunk to a depth of 54 feet in a particular shear which encloses intermittent, but definite, lead-zinc-silver mineralisation for a distance of approximately 225 feet with a maximum observable lode width of 81^ feet. The shearing in the mineralised Main Shaft area coincides with two pronounced changes in course of Ruby Creek in a distance of approximately 225 feet
