Abstract: Key findings • In the above average rainfall season at this site in 2011/2012 there was no interaction between irrigation management and hybrid selection. Hybrids that performed well without additional irrigation also performed well with two waterings. • Even in a wet season there was over a 1.6 t/ha yield response to two waterings across all sorghum hybrids. • Grain yield varied across hybrids with Enforcer achieving the highest yields of 7.3 t/ha. Other good yield performers included 86G56 and MR Maxi.
