Abstract: Key findings • Burrinjuck[PBR] achieved both a higher grain yield and protein content than Snowy[PBR] when sown in mid November compared with a mid December sowing. • One advanced new cross was identified with superior qualities to Burrinjuck[PBR] and warrants further evaluation as a late sown clear hilum option. • Sixty-five new Burrinjuck[PBR] backcrosses were identified as suitable for further evaluation towards releasing an enhanced Burrinjuck[PBR] line.
