Abstract: Total reduction in the area of native vegetation in NSW over the period 2004 to 2006 was 31,394 hectares per annum or 0.04% of the area of NSW. Woody Vegetation for the purpose of this report is defined as woody communities with 20% crown cover or more (eg woodlands, open forests and closed forests) and taller than about 2 metres.
