Abstract: Certain Ordovician and Silurian rock units in central west New South Wales are redefined as a result of detailed mapping near Molong and search of previous literature. Type localities are designated in the Molong district. The Lower to Middle Ordovician Fairbridge Volcanics comprise andesites, andesitic conglomerates, greywackes, and tufts cropping out east and southeast of Molong. This belt of volcanic rocks extends northwards about 55 miles (88 km) to near Wellington.
