Abstract: A four hole programme totalling some 2000 m of full coring is proposed to test the coking and thermal coal resources of the Kilaben Bay area, on the northwestern shores of Lake Macquarie. As little is known about the Tomago Coal Measures in the area, one hole will test the Tomago Coal Measures as well.
