Key findings • The ideal sowing time for soybeans in southern NSW is mid-November to early December. • Djakal, Bidgee and Snowy are all high yielding varieties under good crop agronomy practices. • Late December planting still provides good yield opportunities when managed correctly—correct variety selection and achieving adequate plant population. • Achieving full canopy closure prior to flowering is critical to maximising both biomass and grain yield potential.en
