On the basis of field criteria, several base metal deposits in the Mount Robe area. Broken Hill, have been classified into two new types; (a) stratigraphically controlled base metal (Pb, Ag, 2n, Cu, Au) deposits associated with amphibolites {Silver King type), and (b) transgressive base metal bearing (Pb, Ag, Zn) quartz - fluoriteveins {Mount Robe type). From field and mineralogical data and from reinterpretation of lead isotope data. Silver King type deposits are probably related to stratiform Broken Hill type Pb - Ag - Zn mineralization, and Mount Robe type deposits are distinct from, but possibly genetically related to, Thaokaringa type silver-lead siderite - quartz veins.-
In Quarterly Notes 31 (April 1978), Glen discussed the structural and metamorphic history of the northwestern part of the Willyama Complex, New South Wales. His paper uses unorthodox structural nomenclature, and his results are difficult to reconcile with current work and data from elsewhere in the Willyama Complex. In this discussion possible ambiguities in Glen's tectonic sequence are discussed and an alternative interpretation for his data is considered.-
