On 1 July 2009 the Department of Industry and Investment was established as one of thirteen Principal Departments of the Public Service under the Public Sector Employment and Management (Departmental Amalgamations) Order 2009. The Department of Industry and Investment was responsible to the portfolios of the Arts, Energy, Mineral Resources, the Minister Assisting the Premier on the Arts, Primary Industries, Regional Development, Rural Affairs, Science and Medical Research, Small Business, State Development, and Tourism. From 4 April 2011 the name of the Department of Industry and Investment was changed to the Department of Trade and Investment, Regional Infrastructure and Services (DTIRIS) and the Department became one of nine Principal Departments of the Public Service. © State of New South Wales through Museums of History NSW
