Geological survey report No. 51-
At the Goodrich Mine near Yeoval ore-bearing veins in adamellite have been worked for their gold and copper content. The association of magnetite with these predominantly quartz-chalcopyrite bodies suggests that a magnetometer survey might outline additional ore occurrences.-
A magnetometer survey was carried out over the Goodrich chal copyrite-magnetite-molybdenite-(gold)-quartz ore body at Yeoval, N.S.W. The magnetometer survey did not show any extension of magnetic mineralization laterally, nor the presence of associated magnetic ore bodies. However, the survey did reveal the presence of many small dykes in the area, some containing fine disseminated pyrite and pyrrhotite.-
A reconnaissance geological survey of areas adjacent to the Goodrich gold-copper mine revealed a zone of acid and basic dykes up to 300 yards wide, striking east-westerly through well jointed adamellite. The Goodrich ore body and other minor mineralization occur south of this zone. If the lessees wish to carry out further prospecting work, costeaning, at the eastern end of the area surveyed, would be the most suitable method.-
