| Abstract: | The BioNet Vegetation Classification Web Service provides an open Application Programing Interface to enable IT (information technology) application developers to integrate data held in the Vegetation Information System (VIS) Classification database with software applications. The scope of its applications as an open data initiative spans the full breadth of potential uses, from mobile apps through to organisational decision-management business systems. This document provides detailed information on the data available via the BioNet Vegetation Classification Web Service. It will enable potential users of the web service to evaluate whether the web service will meet their data needs. |
