Selected Records of the Chemical Laboratory for the Year 1961

Abstract

The work of the Ceramic Section consists principally of chemical analyses and physical tests on samples of naturally occurring raw materials and occasionally on finished products in the brick, tile, earthenware pipe, terra cotta, stoneware, whiteware and porcelain industries. It must be clearly understood that no responsibility is taken by the Laboratory for the accuracy of the sampling procedures adopted for procuring the samples for which analysesand tests are reported herein, excepting those taken by officers of this or other Government Departments. This does not necessarily mean that the samples were not well taken or representative.
