NSW Dept of Planning and Environment

On 2 April 2020 Regional NSW was established as a Department as a central agency for regional issues that brought together functions from the Department of Planning Industry and Environment. Staff from the Regions, Industry, Agriculture and Resources Group in the Department of Planning, Industry and Environment were transferred to Regional NSW on 2 April 2020. Regional NSW was renamed as the Department of Regional NSW on 21 December 2021
