The Olympic Co-ordination Authority was established on 30 June 1995 (5) to deliver the sporting facilities and venues for use during the 2000 Olympics. It was also responsible for the administering agreements between the Government , the Sydney Organising Committee for the Olympic Games (SOCOG) and the Sydney Paralympic Organising Committee. By 30 June 1997, SOCOG "moved from a planning to an operational based structure and a number of new business units were created: Games Coordination, Finance, Commercial and Legal, Games Support, Games Operations, and Marketing and Image. © State of New South Wales through Museums of History NSW
