Department of Mineral Resources [I] [1980-1988] : [102] Collection home page

In March 1980 the Development Division was removed from the Department and added to the Department of Industrial Development and Decentralisation. In addition, the Department's title reverted back to "The Department of Mineral Resources". In 1981 a number of functions were transferred to the Department of Industrial Relations (including those performed by the Mines Inspection and Coalfields Branches and the Technological Research Unit). The Department was combined with the Department of Energy on 19 October 1988 to form the Department of Minerals and Energy. © State of New South Wales through Museums of History NSW
