The State Pollution Control Commission was established by the State Pollution Control Commission Act, 1970 (Act No.95 1970) which received assent on 9 December 1970 and came into operation on 16 June 1971. The State Pollution Control Commission was abolished by the Protection of the Environment Administration Act, 1991 (Act No.60, 1991) and the Environment Protection Authority was established from 1 March 1992 to carry on an enlarged role in relation to the environment. © State of New South Wales through Museums of History NSW
